Stimulated electrostrictive and thermal Rayleigh scattering in liquids

Description
Summary:Summary form only given. We measured stimulated Rayleigh scattering in a pump and probe experiment at 1064 nm. An injection-seeded Nd:YAG laser provided the pump beam. An external cavity diode laser was used to probe the nonlinearity produced by the pump. The two beams were overlapped in a counterpropagating geometry in a cell containing the liquid. The gain signal was measured with a InGaAs photodiode.
