Description
Summary:This review article explores eco-environmental changes and their impacts on the ecological conditions over the past three decades. The review has been done to study the usage of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing technologies with different environmental parameters. The complex parameters have been studied by quantifying and identifying their impact on the environment such as if they act as driver's indicator or pressure indicator, etc. The combination of GIS and RS provides valuable information about the parameters and their impact on the ecological health in the region which could be used by policymakers, environmentalist, and government and other responsible organizations to acknowledge and study ecological vulnerabilities to be able take appropriate steps for future ecological sustainability. The aim of this review article is to highlight sustainable land management practices, conservation efforts, and policy decisions, which would lead to harmonious coexistence of human activities and the environment.
