Summary: | The main target for any industrial process is to improve the efficiency of a system whilst reducing the cost. Previous researchers have addressed different control methods by tuning various types of control structures to improve distillation column processes. This paper discusses the design of a PID controller to control TITO distillation columns and improve its performance. Transfer functions have been taken form Wood and Berry and Garrido et al.2010. By comparing the results acquired by different modified controlling methods used namely process perfect, mismatch with disturbance tuning the methods using First Order Pulse Time Delay (FOPTD) improved the performance of the system. |
