Summary: | Microsoft Teams is a chat-based collaborative ICT platform, document sharing, online meetings with many advantageous communication features that seek to improve distance learning effectiveness and efficiency in the educational environment. MS Teams was introduced a few months before the COVID crisis, and due to the situation, teachers had to quickly adopt and use this new form of technology in distance education. This research will present how teachers have accepted the MS Teams educational platform, whether they are satisfied with it and what factors influence this satisfaction. In the theoretical part, we describe the unified theory of acceptance and use of the technology model (UTAUT). In addition to the UTAUT model, we also used the online tool SELFIE, developed by the European Commission, which helps schools assess how they use digital technologies for innovative and effective learning. The SELFIE tool provides schools with an overview of the current state of the use of digital technologies, taking into account the views of teachers, students, and school management representatives. This self-assessment process can help schools to establish a dialogue on areas that can be improved. Applying the UTAUT model and the SELFIE tool, we prepared a questionnaire to investigate the satisfaction with MS Teams' use and the connection between satisfaction with the teachers' age and their experience with the general use of ICT. In the results, we present the survey analysis and which factors significantly influence adoption, satisfaction, and MS Teams in primary education. |
