Summary:We had numerically and experimentally studied THz radiation generation in the interaction of a terawatt laser pulse with several dozens of \mu m-\text{thick} plastic tape target. Based on PIC simulations and measurements, the mechanism of THz radiation generation was found to be Coherent Transition Radiation (CTR). The proposed scheme can be relatively easily implemented on the kHz laser systems, resulting in a high-intensity high-flux THz radiation source.
