Electrochemically Fabricated Polypyrrole and MoSx Copolymer Films as a Highly Active Hydrogen Evolution Electrocatalyst
Copolymer hybrid films consisting of polypyrrole/MoSx (x ≈ 5) with significantly enhanced electrocatalytic activity for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) are fabricated by a one‐step electrochemical copolymerization of pyrrole and (NH4)2MoS4. The films show a Tafel slope of 29 mV dec−1 and an on...

Summary: | Copolymer hybrid films consisting of polypyrrole/MoSx (x ≈ 5) with significantly enhanced electrocatalytic activity for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) are fabricated by a one‐step electrochemical copolymerization of pyrrole and (NH4)2MoS4. The films show a Tafel slope of 29 mV dec−1 and an onset potential of 0 V vs. RHE, which is comparable to those of commercial Pt/C catalysts. |
