Spectral behaviour analysis of chirped fibre Bragg gratings for optical dispersion compensation

We analyse the group delay and the reflectivity dependence on the degree of saturation for linearly chirped gratings. An analogy between Fresnel diffraction and unsaturated gratings proved to be effective for the phenomenon understanding.
