Description
Summary:This paper proposes an inverse time zero sequence protection using traveling wave starting information, which solves the problem of delayed action when a single-phase high resistance ground fault occurs. On the transmission line with traveling wave protection as the main protection, it must be equipped with corresponding backup protection based on power frequency, and the zero-sequence direction protection performance is superior. However, a delay action is required for high resistance faults in the zone. This article uses the startup information of the double-terminal traveling wave to accelerate the zero-sequence protection and realize full-line quick-trip. This paper uses PSCAD/EPTDC simulation to verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
