Summary: | In this paper a high efficiency power amplifier is presented with quasi VSWR immunity. It is based on a new, high efficiency architecture, the Load Modulated Balanced Amplifier. By using a balanced amplifier to generate the control signal, the overall circuit showed very high VSWR tolerance compared to classic designs. The circuit is currently under development in a single chip RFIC in CMOS and IPD technology. |
