Summary: | The work proffers a simple micro-strip fed CP patch antenna incorporated along with the wide bandwidth. Antenna is placed towards the substrates left side and fed by a micro-strip line of feed and the ground plane is also modified with a big slot at center. The propounded antenna achieved a wide-axial-ratio bandwidth with the introduction of a vertical and horizontal stub on the ground plane. The overall area of proposed antenna is 16x16x1.6 mm 3 . The results show that the proffered antenna has axial ratio-bandwidth of 48.8% and impedance-bandwidth of about 80%. The peak gain of antenna at CP centre frequency is 4.18 dBi with radiation efficiency of 95% in the entire CP range (5.54 - 9.12 GHz). This circularly polarized antenna finds application in C-band, satellite and other wireless applications. |
