Summary: | This paper proposes an encoderless servo drive system including high torque density servomotor capable of handling large load, and high response and high accuracy saliency based sensorless drive technology. As an encoderless servomotor, the spoke type Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) that is used for a general purpose servomotor is selected, and its magnetic field analysis is shown. Based on the analysis result of the motor, position error compensation methods for accurate driving the motor are proposed. Experimental results show the proposed servo drive system performance and issues that need to be improved in the future products. |
