Summary: | Proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells have attracted great attention in recent years as a promising replacement for traditional stationary and mobile power sources, especially due to their high power density and low greenhouse gas emissions. However, a number of fundamental problems must be overcome to improve their performance and to reduce their cost. A control system is needed to ensure that the airflow rate and temperature are within prescribed limits during operation. In this research, a control technique for PEM fuel cells based on the optimal operating temperature is introduced. |
