Summary: | In this work the design of a bifocal reflector system able to rapidly scan a terahertz beam keeping a quasi-perfect focus in an ellipse placed at one prescribed distance from the antenna is presented. This system can be used for high resolution imaging applications. The proposed system utilizes a Confocal Gregorian geometry where the main reflector and subreflector surfaces have been shaped in order to improve the system scanning capabilities. The results show the better behavior of the system compared with previous approaches to the same problem. |
