Description
Summary:This work presents a simple method to calculate in real time the fundamental positive and negative sequence of three-phase systems, based on space vectors' dot product. In order to clarify the method, a geometric approach presents the properties of vector V → in abc basis. Considering a distorted and unbalanced input signal, represented by its space vector V → , this vector is decomposed in its fundamental positive and negative components, as well as its harmonics and fundamental zero sequence components. This method uses only abc basis, which is computationally simpler than the methods using other systems like dq and aβ.
