Summary: | The harmonic pollutions in the electrical networks became one of the major factors affecting the power quality of the network. APF's represent the most convenient system used to eliminate harmonics. To achieve instantaneous harmonic compensation, the harmonic current reference should be extracted very fast. In this paper, the average technique is used to extract the harmonics current contents for a three-phase three-wires symmetric load using one current sensor. The current in one phase is recorded and saved in a look-up table to be used to generate the second phase.. The developed technique is verified by simulation and experimentally for nonlinear load distorted waveforms. This approach achieved excellent results to split the harmonic contents of the different nonlinear loads |
