Description
Summary:Time reversal (TR) is a signal processing operation based on the time invariance of the wave propagation equation. It is notably used to focus a wave in an inhomogeneous medium, allowing to improve the signal transmission. Indeed, when propagating in an inhomogeneous medium, a radio frequency (RF) signal is distorted by multiple scattering and multiple paths. In a non-stationary propagation medium, it is necessary to minimize the latency between the impulse response measurement and the emission of the time-reversed signal in order to continuously adapt to the medium. The TR of RF signals with a digital method is limited by the latency and BW of the analog-to-digital conversion (ADC) that cannot be maximized simultaneously.
