Description
Summary:As the scale of distributed generations (DGs) connected to the power network increases, the system inertia significantly decreases, and bring threat to the system frequency stability. A reasonable cluster partition of DGs can give full play to its inertia support and frequency regulation ability. Therefore, this paper puts forward to a DG cluster partition method considering the system inertia supporting flexibility. Firstly, the inertia support ability of DG cluster is defined based on the supply-demand relationship of system inertia. Secondly, inertia supporting flexibility index and inertia response speed index are proposed, and a comprehensive index system of DG cluster partition is established combining the module degree index and power balance index. Then the adjacency matrix coding genetic algorithm (GA) is adopted to obtain the cluster partition results. Finally, the IEEE33 node system is taken as an example to verify the effectiveness of the proposed cluster partition index and method in improving the system inertia supporting ability.
