Description
Summary:Passive radar has become an important operational asset in military missions in the last decade. The first generation of commercial systems are in operational usage. With the first operational results, new applications and technology features are developed to address user demands. This paper gives an overview of recent developments of passive radar technology and applications from an industrial perspective. As exemplary topics the areas of non-cooperative target classification based on artificial intelligence, the mitigation of windfarm interferences on passive radar as well as the coupling of active and passive radar for air defence applications are addressed.
