Description
Summary:To date, the use of synchronized vector measurement devices (PMU) makes it possible to implement distributed monitoring systems that differ from classical SCADA measurements (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition). Since the technology of synchronized vector measurements allows obtaining high-precision estimates of all parameters of sinusoidal oscillations of industrial frequency, including information about the phase angle, with maximum speed and time synchronization with an accuracy of 1 microsecond compared to SCADA systems, these measurements can be used in the analysis of various dynamic processes and for their monitoring in real time. Such processes in the network are power fluctuations, low-frequency fluctuations, complex disturbances, cascade shutdowns and many other emergency situations that can affect the stability of the power system.
