Description
Summary:A new approach to the analysis of the dynamics of the territorial structure of floodplain territories of regulated rivers, based on statistical processing of natural observation data, hydrodynamic and geoinformation modeling using high-performance computing, is described. The main tool of our analysis is a new model of the complex structure of the floodplain territory, which is a superposition of its hydrological, natural (ecological) and socio-economic structures. Hydrological simulation results are based on self-consistent models of surface water, sediment and groundwater dynamics using realistic digital terrain.
