Summary: | There were presented the results of the comparative tribological studies of the effect of the running-in coatings (RC coatings) made of the soft antifriction metals deposited by the method for electrospark alloying in the sequence of Ag\rightarrow Pb \rightarrowAg and S\rightarrow Ag \rightarrow Pb \rightarrowAg onto the surfaces of the rings made of steel R6M5 and steel 12Kh18N10T, which had been covered with the titanium nitride layers formed by the method of condensed ion bombardment. It has been found that for all series of the specimens, the RC coatings reduce the friction force and the coefficient of friction. The specimens with the RC coatings formed in the sequence of S\rightarrow Ag \rightarrow Pb \rightarrow Ag are characterized by the availability of normal friction and minor mechanical wear. |
