Description
Summary:This paper proposed speed synchronization technique for multi DC motors systems using cross coupling and master slave technique with serial connection. Basically, the synchronization technique is master slave but has two master motors. Speed synchronization multi motor is essential in industrial environment with such as conveyor, automation robotic and rolling mills systems. In steel production synchronization failure can also producing low quality product. DC motor still preferred used for some reason like easy to control, high torque in various speed and excellence performance for large inertia load. In this paper speed synchronization archived by high coupled speed control where every DC motor influence each other. When there is load change at one motor and make speed change will affect to other motor. Simplified PID constant regulation also proposed in this paper. Simulation result in Matlab-Simulink shows good synchronization performance measure by Integral Absolute Error (IAE), with small steady state error is maintained.
