Description
Summary:The problem of scattering of the E-polarized electromagnetic wave by cylindrical curvilinear strip is considered. The cross-section of the strip is an arc of a smooth curve. The problem is reduced to a singular integral equation (SIE) of the first kind with respect to surface currents' density. The SIE is convenient both for application of direct numerical method (mechanical quadratures) and for its transformation to a second kind's integral equation by the Vekua-Carleman's method of regularization. A large class of guide arcs for the cylindrical strips is examined. It includes some simple parabolic arcs where the limit passage to rectilinear segment is possible (important for testing) and rather difficult arcs that have many turning points. Except for common dynamic model of the problem the quasistatic model (it supposes a simple explicit solution) is presented. The comparison of numerical results of calculations by the indicated methods for the models is carried out.
