Summary:A new species belonging to the family Phytoseiidae, Paragigagnathus iraniensis n. sp., is described and illustrated from specimens collected on almond trees, Prunus dulcis (Mill.) D.A. Webb (Rosaceae), infested with two spotted spider mites (Tetranychidae) in Hamedan region, Iran. An identification key to all known species of the genus Paragigagnathus is provided.
