Description
Summary:In conducting research, the identified problem in the field will determine the research strategies chosen to address the problem. When a qualitative research strategy is deemed as the most appropriate strategy to get answers to research questions, the researcher should be aware of obstacles that can be encountered in the research process. If the researcher does not know that there should be obstacles, he or she can unwittingly make errors that would influence the trustworthiness of the project. The significance of exploring and describing possible obstacles in qualitative research lies therein that it provides a knowledge base from which preventative measures can be inferred and trustworthiness ensured. In this article such obstacles are discussed. (Contains 1 table.)
