Summary:The spatially dependent spectral-kinetic and crystal structure properties of undoped and Pr3+ - doped LiY1−xLuxF4 mixed crystals grown by Bridgeman technique were studied along crystal growth direction. The distribution coefficients of Pr3+, Y3+ and Lu3+ in these crystals were determined. The rise of lattice parameters with increasing of the Pr3+ concentration along the crystal growth direction was observed. •The distribution coefficients of Pr3+, Y3+ and Lu3+ in LiY1−xLuxF4 were determined.•The maximal distribution coefficient of Pr3+ ions corresponds to LiYF4 crystal.•The distribution of Y3+ and Lu3+ host cations is not constant along crystal bulks.•The reducing of decay time of luminescence from 3P0 levels of Pr3+ ions was observed.•The increasing of lattice parameters along the growth direction was discovered.
