Summary:	Based on enormous firsthand materials such as archives, diaries and newspapers etc., this article tries to clarify the exchange service between the National Library of Peiping and American academics by Microfilm Camera from 1936 to 1950s. By doing so, the author analyzes the cause, process and impact of this services from the perspective of library interaction between China and the United States, and the history of the development of Chinese studies in the United States.
