Summary: | Materials were applied in Field 12 of the Lindcove Field Station (Exeter, Calif.) at petal fall (18-19 May) for control of citrus thrips, using a Hardie hand-gun and John Bean sprayer at 500 lb/in2, outside coverage and approximately 200 gal/acre. Four tree plots were used with three replicates per material. Naked-eye counts of adult female mites on 32 leaves per tree (two, four-leaf terminals per quadrant) were made. Counts were discontinued at mite levels in excess of 6.25 per leaf. |
