Highlights • We developed a vaccine targeting Group A Strep. • A stabilized formulation of recombinant fusion protein SpeAB was determined. • Interactions between SpeAB and aluminum containing adjuvants were optimized. • It was demonstrated a formulation in which SpeAB was adsorbed to the adjuvant was optimal for potency.
