Description
Summary:Physical principles underlying the characteristics and performance of multielectrode vacuum tubes are presented in simple form in this paper. The subject is presented from the viewpoint of those having an understanding of the physical principles of the ordinary triode or 3-element tube, but not having a similarly clear understanding of the more complex structures. Detailed analyses of the characteristics of several types of multielectrode tubes are given.
