A clinical trial testing the efficacy of PDT in preventing amputation in diabetic patients

Highlights • We developed a low cost PDT protocol to treat the diabetic feet. • Rate of amputation was 35 times smaller in the PDT group. • Increased efficiency to treat diabetic feet can be of use in public health.
