Combination of a TLR4 ligand and anaphylatoxin C5a for the induction of antigen-specific cytotoxic T cell responses

Highlights ► Anaphylatoxin C5a and the extra domain A (EDA) from fibronectin induce DC maturation. ► Fusion of C5a and EDA to an antigen improve the immunogenicity of the antigen in vivo. ► EDA–C5a–antigen fusion proteins can be useful as anti-tumor/anti-viral vaccines.
