Description
Summary:Light controls size: A novel type of self‐organized supramolecular nanoparticles can change their size upon irradiation with UV light (see picture). The doubly responsive system combines a light‐triggered size with a pH‐induced switching between nanoscale aggregates and molecular building blocks. The nano‐objects form by a combination of ionic and π–π interactions between macro‐ions and dye ions.
