Summary: | Behavioral decision research has resulted in a better understanding of processes used by people to weigh the costs and benefits of decisions they make. It is accepted that people are inconsistent and employ many different methods of identifying their preferences when arriving at decisions. Researchers in the past decade have studied how people go about predicting the results of their decisions and predicting how satisfied they will be with those results in the future. These research conclusions can be applied in the areas of public policy, economics, health and business. |
