Oral presentation of secondary chondrosarcoma arising in osteochondroma of the nasal septum

A case is described in which a midline palatal swelling, on incisional biopsy, showed an ossifying, chondroid lesion with the histologic features of a lowgrade chondrosarcoma. Complete excision revealed that the tumour had originated in a benig osteochondroma of the nasal septum.
