Description
Summary:Significant advances in the development of CDC reactions have been made in recent years. However, metal-free CDC reaction remains comparatively under-developed. In view that a variety of readily available, cheap and environmentally friendly bromine reagents have been employed in bromination or oxidation in organic synthesis, we would like to summarize and discuss in this review examples of bromine-mediated CDC reactions, delineating significant and promising applications of these reagents in metal-free functionalization of C-H bonds.
