Choroidal Melanoma in Children: Be Aware of Risks

The authors describe a case of choroidal melanoma in a 13-year-old girl treated with plaque brachytherapy. Uveal melanoma is reported in all age groups but tends to manifest itself in adults more often than children. Childhood (< 20 years) uveal melanoma represents 1% of all cases.
