Two-wave mixing in nonlinear magnetization dynamics: A perturbation expansion of the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation
Recent experiments have shown that two electromagnetic waves can be mixed together by a nonlinear process in magnetic materials and can produce a wide variety of output waves, each with a different frequency. A perturbation expansion of the Landau-Lifschitz-Gilbert equation is presented which provid...

Summary: | Recent experiments have shown that two electromagnetic waves can be mixed together by a nonlinear process in magnetic materials and can produce a wide variety of output waves, each with a different frequency. A perturbation expansion of the Landau-Lifschitz-Gilbert equation is presented which provides qualitative and quantitative understanding of this process. The results of this expansion are compared to both experiment and direct numerical solutions. |
