Summary:Negundoside and agnuside are reported as marker constituents for standardization of Vitex negundo (V. negundo) leaves. This is the first report on determination and quantification of negundoside and agnuside by qNMR in the leaves of V. negundo , collected from various regions of India. The developed qNMR method showed good linearity ( r 2 ≥ 0.9994), high precision (RSD < 5%) and a good recovery (99.79 and 101.35%) for both the compounds. Therefore, the developed qNMR method is accurate and reliable for the quality control of V. negundo . The qNMR method is useful in quality control of plant extracts without the need of extensive sample preparation and chromatographic separation.
