Summary:The photonic crystal index profile with silicon (Si)- Silver(Ag) nanocomposites are numerically investigated using by Transfer Matrix Methods. The respective optical properties such as its mode profile, group delay and intensity distribution is studies and analyzed. The results reveal the interesting phenomena that the group delay is reduced with increasing the wavelength which will be highly deserved for communication applications.
