Summary:From intermediate to stable molecule: Stable monosilicon epoxides with pentacoordinate silicon were prepared for the first time by [2+1] cycloaddition reactions of Lewis base stabilized chlorosilylenes with ketones. Molecular structures of these compounds with SiOC three‐membered rings were established by X‐ray diffraction studies (e.g., see picture; N blue, O red, Cl green).
