Description
Summary:Dynamic hip screw fixation is a com- monly performed procedure for internal fixation of intertro- chanteric femoral fractures. Arterial injury following the operative fixation is a rare but serious event. We present a patient who developed pseudoaneurysm ofprofunda femo- ris artery after internal fixation of intertrochanteric fracture with a dynamic hip screw. The diagnosis was confirmed by angiographic study and it was successfully treated by coil embolization.
