Description
Summary:We study the electric conductivity and defectiveness of coatings obtained by the method of electrochemical oxidation on stainless steel by the method of impedance spectroscopy. The morphology and X-ray phase diffraction compositions of oxide coatings formed in Mo-, Al-, and Ti-containing electrolytes are analyzed. It is shown that the addition of valve metals to the coating compositions decreases the corrosion rate of oxidized steel in chloride media. The results obtained by the method of impedance spectroscopy correlate with the results of corrosion tests.
