Summary:Familial Mediterranean fever (fMf) is an inherited condition characterized by polyserositis and is sometimes complicated by AA renal amyloidosis leading to nephrotic syndrome and renal failure. We present a case of a man with fMf who presented with rapidly progressive renal failure caused by light chain deposition disease. This disease association has not previously been described in the medical literature.
