Summary:This article discusses the pathologic and radiologic changes in the cervical spine that occur with rheumatoid arthritis. The relevance of radiologic evaluation using radiographs, conventional tomography, myelography, computed tomography, computed tomography-myelography, and magnetic resonance imaging is discussed. Magnetic resonance imaging is the pre-eminent radiologic modality in the examination of cervical rheumatoid arthritis.
