Assessment of Residual Stresses in Specimens of Ferritic-Pearlitic Steel with Austenitic Cladding

A bimetallic reactor vessel material (steel 15Kh2MFA with austenitic cladding) is studied. The residual stresses arising in the bimetal after heat treatment are determined with the help of x-ray diffraction, acoustic and computer control techniques. The causes of the appearance of plastic strain in...

Description
Summary:A bimetallic reactor vessel material (steel 15Kh2MFA with austenitic cladding) is studied. The residual stresses arising in the bimetal after heat treatment are determined with the help of x-ray diffraction, acoustic and computer control techniques. The causes of the appearance of plastic strain in the specimens are assessed and the deflections and the residual stresses after quenching and annealing are determined.
