Description
Summary:This article primarily provides a history of contract law scholarship published in the American Business Law Journal. However, through this review, insights on the role of the Journal in contract law scholarship and recognition of trends and themes in that scholarship, as well as some of the valuable insights presented in the published research, will be offered. This article allows the author to provide an in-depth analysis of the single topic of contract law scholarship, and the opportunity to analyze the multiple dimensions and uses of this single substantive area of law as reflected in fifty years of the Journal. It also provides the opportunity to examine how legal scholarship has changed over the years, trends in the law, and the role of legal theory in business law and legal studies scholarship.
