Description
Summary:The University of North Carolina at Greensboro has put on a Classics Day each school year since 2011. The event has grown dramatically in scope, refinement and audience over the course of those years, and won a CPL outreach award in its fourth year. The following article lays out the steps that this student-centered event took to achieve steadily growing success, and gives suggestions, based on UNCG's experience, for other schools looking into putting on an event of this sort. It emphasizes the positive impact that such an event can have on undergraduates' experience, and the value that it can provide for the development of Classics programs.
