Electrical conductivity of some amino-hydroxypyridine complexes

The electrical conductivity of 2-amino-3-hydroxypyridine, 2-amino-pyridine and their complexes with Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) was measured in the temperature range 293–430 K. The conductivity is increased by complexation while the activation energy required for conduction is lowered....

Description
Summary:The electrical conductivity of 2-amino-3-hydroxypyridine, 2-amino-pyridine and their complexes with Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) was measured in the temperature range 293–430 K. The conductivity is increased by complexation while the activation energy required for conduction is lowered. The conduction takes place according to the hopping theory. To characterize the composition and structure of the complexes, conductometric titration and IR spectra were used.
