Summary: | An analysis of the impacts of vertical and integrated FP/MCH programs upon family planning, family size preferences, fertility, and infant and child mortality was conducted utilizing the first longitudinal sample survey data collected in Nepal. Findings indicate that neither program demonstrated an impact upon contraceptive use. However, the vertical program did have a greater impact than the integrated program upon family planning knowledge, future intentions to use family planning, fertility, and infant mortality. |
